Terms of Service
Last updated: May 6, 2026
Welcome to RhythmForge. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
RhythmForge is provided by Florian Preknya ("we," "our," "us").
1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use RhythmForge on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to Apple's standard App Store licensing terms (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/).
You may not:
- Copy, modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or distribute the app or its components.
- Use the app to build a competing product.
- Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the app.
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law.
2. Subscriptions and payments
RhythmForge offers optional PRO subscriptions. Pricing, terms, and trial periods are shown in the app before purchase.
- Free trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will be charged the subscription price.
- Auto-renewal: Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation: You may cancel anytime via your Apple ID settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple. We have no ability to process refunds directly. Submit refund requests at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Lifetime purchase: The lifetime option is a one-time non-recurring payment that grants PRO access for the lifetime of the RhythmForge app.
- Price changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice. Continued subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance.
3. Microphone and device permissions
RhythmForge requests microphone access to detect your timing in real time. All microphone processing happens on your device. No audio is ever recorded or transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You may revoke microphone permission at any time via iOS Settings. Some features will not work without it.
4. Content you create
If you create custom challenges, patterns, or other content within RhythmForge, you retain ownership of that content. The content is stored locally on your device.
5. No warranty
RhythmForge is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that timing measurements will be perfectly accurate — audio latency varies by device, environment, and peripheral.
RhythmForge is a practice tool. It is not a substitute for professional music instruction.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the app.
Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (or zero, for free users).
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these terms or applicable law. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the app or rhythmforge.app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Spain, except where applicable consumer protection law provides otherwise.
