Common questions

Does it work with electronic drums, drum pads, or sampled instruments?
Yes. The app detects any percussive onset through your microphone — acoustic drums, electronic kits with monitor speakers, drum pads, hand percussion, claves, even tapping a desk. If it makes a sharp sound, RhythmForge can score it.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Practice and challenges work fully offline. Internet is only needed for the initial App Store purchase and occasional subscription validation.
What about latency on AirPods or Bluetooth headphones?
RhythmForge stores a separate timing calibration for each audio output you connect, so AirPods, Bluetooth speakers, wired headphones, and the built-in speaker each get their own offset. AirPods specifically have a known firmware-level drift that the app auto-corrects during play — no manual adjustment needed.
Will my session history sync across devices?
Not in v1.0. Sessions and personal bests are stored locally on your iPhone. iCloud sync is on the v1.1 roadmap. In the meantime, you can export and import your data manually if you switch devices.
What happens after the free trial?
You keep your free tier — unlimited metronome with all professional features, plus 3 challenges per day. PRO features lock unless you subscribe. Nothing you've already done disappears.
